The National Economic Mobility and Opportunity Conference

The National Economic Mobility and Opportunity (EMO) Conference is a new convening of changemakers in the economic mobility and opportunity space. The free, three-day conference will take place May 21-23, 2025 at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland.

EMO is a concept often explained colloquially as “doing better than your parents.” While frequently associated with income, several interconnected factors can influence an individual’s access to economic mobility and opportunity. The National EMO Conference is an opportunity for local leaders to gather across sectors and focus areas to address these interrelated issues and systems.

What to Expect

Complex challenges require innovative solutions. Conference attendees will engage in a rich conversation with other leaders seeking scalable methods for positive change within their communities. Presenters and panelists will share resources and replicable practices, while workshops will provide participants with tools and data to identify and tackle local challenges. Mobile workshops will showcase local programs moving the needle for residents in the Baltimore area.
